New Faces at KGV

Glenorchy would like to welcome Tom Rogers to KGV. Tom is a new recruit for Cricket Tasmania from the ACT and will be joining Glenorchy CC. Tom had a breakout 2016-17 season wining the CA Futures League player of the year. He comes highly recommended by GCC's Luke Butterworth who spent the season coaching the ACT squad. Tom is a Fast Bowling all rounder and we look forward to having him at KGV. Tom joins Nathan Matthews and Richie Dilger who are returning to the club which provides great optimism for the team going in to the new season. Nathan Matthews will captain the 1st grade team and be asst coach, his experience will be pivotal as we look to develop our list. Nathan is a multiple premiership winner at KGV and boasts 2 MOM awards in our grand final matches. We also welcome Jacob Kooran from Westbury CC, Jacob is a fast bowler who made the NTCA player of the year last year and he will add great depth to the squad. Head Coach Michael Knight takes over the reigns from Brett Geeves who's impact at the club is immense, we thank Brett for his amazing service to the club and look forward to seeing him around the club. Michael has done a long apprenticeship for the role and has worked hard this year attending coach training at the Cricket Centre in Brisbane for as well as up skilling through CT coach accreditation program.
